Zion
Adult Ministries
The
mission of Zion Adult Ministries (ZAM) is to help people grow in faith,
build relationships, identify gifts, and develop skills. ZAM is interested
in providing training for a wide range of ministries, including leadership
development, and in fostering a broad spectrum of small and specual
interest groups and adult education opportunities.
In particular, ZAM oversees Journeys in Adult Ministry (JAM) under the
Parish Education Committee umbrella. Sunday morning sessions are offered
year-round. Also check the calendar for the schedule of Monday night
adult Christian education (JAM) sessions.
Another popular project is the daily devotional guide prepared for the
seasons of Advent and Lent. Members of Zion read assigned Bible passages
and write a brief devotion and prayer.
Other opportunities for member involvement include:
- participating
in one of our learning and growth experiences such as JAM classes,
Visiting Theologian Weekend, and Wednesday
Morning Bible Study;
-
identifying new ministries that might be developed to better serve
the interests and needs of Zion members, and
-
becoming leaders of existing or new ministries.
