SOCIAL MINISTRY COMMITTEE
HELP WANTED

The following ministry opportunities are available:

 COMMITTEE MEMBERS -Join the committee and participate in the planning, decisions and new directions of the Social Ministry of our congregation.  The committee meets on the first Monday of each month (except for September when it will meet on Tuesday the 2nd) at 7:00 p.m. in the Office area.

 CHURCH CRISIS COMMITTEE - This is a community-wide ecumenical effort that aids low-income families with utility expenses.  Needed is a person to represent Zion on this committee.  Contact Eugene Ferg for more information.

 HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, INDIANA COUNTY - If you are interested in participating in this community effort to provide housing to those in need, contact Christoph Maier.

 FAIR TRADE - Assist Pastor Miller in the distribution of the Fair Trade items when the orders arrive, this may include the collection and coordination of the orders.                  

 SYNOD WORLD HUNGER COMMITTEE - Represent Zion on this synod effort to raise awareness among the congregations of the Northwest PA Synod about the ELCA World Hunger Appeal and Program.  Meetings are held once per month in the fall and winter  months, and election to this synod committee is not required.  Contact Eugene Ferg for more information.
